A day in the life
Can you tell us about your role and how it contributes to FAB and the people it serves?
I have been appointed as Head of the IT Department – FAB Oman. My role is to transform the People, Process, and Technology (PPT) framework in order to enhance the operational efficiency of Oman ITD. This role contributes to the business strategy and vision of the Bank as well as enabling us to improve customer satisfaction.
How would you describe your typical day?
My typical day starts at 5AM – and after the morning prayers I enjoy some coffee. I then plan my daily activities by prioritising important tasks and reviewing plans.
I then head for the office and reach well before the working hours start. The next 45 minutes is vital – this is when catch up on world news and the markets. I look out for national and international developments related to technology advances in the financial industry. I also keep an eye out for business possibilities.
